It feels like it has been so long since I last blogged...I'm having withdrawals. Much has happened since the last blog post including two photo shoots with babies. Tuesday I got to shoot Brax again (it's my third photo shoot with he and his mommy, the first time he was still in the belly : ) and he is such a good baby. But man did he grow since last week! He got all this chubbiness around his ankles and looked so rollipolly, I love it! It's amazing how different he acted compared to last week. Last week he slept the whole time and this time he was alert and watching everybody and everything. Geez they grow too fast.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to shadow Aaron Bernard during one of his photo shoots with a stunning bride. I kid you not..she was gorgeous! I met them both outside of good ol' O' Tooles in China Town. I tried to get there early so I could have a photo opportunity while it was still daylight to catch people on foot. I didn't make it but five minutes early..what poo, darn traffic. So I only got around five photos and in my opinion they sucked, what a disappointment. But things defiantly looked up once Aaron and the bride arrived. I hope that someday I will own fabulous equipment like he does, sheesh! Anyways to make a long story short we walked all over Chinatown during dusk, Aaron shooting, the bride (I am going to refer to her as the bride because like always I can't remember her name) posing, and lil ol' me soaking it all in. It was fantabulous to say the least : ) I learned so much. And tomorrow I get to go along for the ride at a wedding! My first ever wedding!!! Can you tell I'm excited haha?! Its going to be from 8am till sunset AND its going to be amazing. Oh gosh... I need to go buy something to wear!! All I have are bluejeans with holes in them. It's time to get crunk at Target ; )
Aaron also enlightened me when it comes to flash. I've always thought of myself as a natural light kind of girl, but now I realize I'm just limiting myself. I saw some of the pictures he took afterwards with an external flash and they were stunning..they literally had that wow factor. I'm sure that's exactly what I said when I saw the picture, "wow." Tonight I am going to work with my 580 flash and see what I can capture with it. Probably nothing amazing yet, but hey I'm still learning ; )
This is the last thing I promise. I just finished making a birth announcement about an hour ago. It was difficult. I felt like giving up a couple of times from the frustration. I just wasn't getting the layout I wanted and the colors corrected. I'm glad I stuck to it because I really love how it turned out. Pictures of 3 month old Camden will be following very soon!
